Francis Fitzpatrick
• Francis Fitzpatrick is a Dublin
based entrepreneur and practising Lawyer/Attorney
• Francis won a major European Trade Mark Court
over Disney Corporation. The Court ruled that his wife’s
children’s character “Piggley Pooh”
did not infringe Disney’s “Winnie the Pooh”.
• He proceeded to set up a joint venture London
investment Company which successfully produced “Jakers
the Adventures of Piggley Winks” in Los Angeles.
The 40 episode children’s CGI series is currently
on air on PBS kids across America where it has been
critically acclaimed.
• Over $30 Million dollars was raised through
private investment for the Series. The series has been
bought by RTE, BBC, TFI – France, ABC –
Australia, SVT-Sweden and other major worldwide networks.

• Francis was educated at Killashee Preparatory
school run by the La Sainte Union nuns (1966-72), and
then at Clongowes Wood College where famous author James
Joyce was a past pupil and wrote about the college in
his book “Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man”
(1972-1978). “Ulysses” is Joyce’s
world famous book. Other past pupils of note include
Paul McGuiness Manager of U2, Michael O’Leary
CEO of Ryanair and the Ryan brothers Cathal and Declan
founders of Ryanair. Francis attended University College
Dublin where he read law and attended Blackhall Place
where he was conferred with his Solicitor’s parchment.
Francis then went on secondment to the European Commission
where he trained under Peter Sutherland Chairman of
Goldman Sachs and BP, when he was Commissioner for Competition
in the European Commission in Brussels.
• Francis lives in Skryne Co Meath Ireland with
his wife Denise and their five children aged 10 to 2
years old.
